Northern Broadsides 1994-95

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Performer First Fairy and choreographer

A company of players from every corner of Northern Britain singing dancing and performing Shakespeare in diverse regional accents. Directed by Barrie Rutter, the

show celebrated the poetry of language and the tradition of performing in unconventional ‘non-velvet spaces’,  taking the work to audiences in the cotton mills of Oldham, the Piece Hall in Halifax, and Dockyards in Hull.

“Our work brings words to life by celebrating the poetry of language.

Allowing audiences to hear and appreciate the words like never before.”
