Here and Now 2016

Directed and choreographed Here and Now with ambitions to make the highest quality work that moves beyond the expected modes of performance within this setting.This was the first stage of research and development for a dance theatre piece to be performed in Care Homes which later led to a more fully visioned and informed piece, A Tree and A Tub and a Moment In Time. We focused on the concept of bringing the ‘outside world in’ and of experiencing dance with all the senses of touch, sight, smell and sound. We aimed to develop our practice and understanding of reciprocal interaction and playfulness within the work, creating possibilities to create a genuine sense of exchange with our audience and one another. We responded to ideas of being in the moment, of being present and of experiencing in the ‘Here and Now’ whilst referencing the past and the familiar.
