A creative session for the ‘In Mature Company’ team of dancers and musicians. A playful, nurturing workshop to build strength, resilience and fluidity as a team.To reinstate a sense of spontaneity and freedom and to encourage a sense of self and authentic connection to movement and to one another.

In Mature Company is a three-year project, part of Time to Shine, a six-year programme delivered by Leeds Older People’s Forum addressing the social isolation of older people. The programme will specifically look at the impact of touch and use Dementia Care Mapping as a research tool to better understand the impact of the sessions. WE Danced Yorkshire Dance 2016 - 2018

Artist training days and mentoring.

Led a series of training sessions and follow on sessions for the WE Danced team of dance professionals in Sheffield to prepare and develop their practice in the Care Home setting. The workshops were designed to encourage a depth of understanding of working as an artist in the care home environment and of the individuals who lived and worked there. The mentor training developed the dancers' sense of engagement, fluidity of play and engagement with one another and with the people in the care home. Aimed to build and maintain an ongoing creative ‘newness’ to the exploration in the room and allow themselves as dance leaders to be led and guided by the needs and response of the group.
